Brutta notizia per il sistema di aggiornamento di OxygenOS di Nord 2: non sono presenti gli aggiornamenti silenziosi, probabilmente a causa del cambio di SoC.
Il sistema degli aggiornamenti silenziosi, riconoscibile dalla presenza del doppio slot di partizioni A e B, è stato introdotto da Google con i primi Pixel e adottato da OnePlus a partire dal 6.
Le partizioni duplicate consentono di aggiornare il sistema mantenendo il telefono acceso lavorando sul secondo slot di partizioni inattivo. Al riavvio viene fatto lo switch e il bootloader carica il nuovo sistema.
Nord 2 per aggiornarsi passa quindi dalla recovery, richiedendo molto più tempo rispetto agli altri telefoni OnePlus.
