A U.S. federal appeals court has reaffirmed that AI-generated works cannot be copyrighted unless a human is involved in their creation. The case, brought by computer scientist Stephen Thaler, challenged the U.S. Copyright Office’s longstanding position that only human authorship qualifies for copyright protection. Thaler had sought copyright for a painting fully created by his AI system, the “Creativity Machine,” but the court rejected the claim, emphasizing that AI itself cannot be the author.
This ruling leaves open critical questions about AI-assisted creativity. The court clarified that human authors can register works made "with the assistance" of AI, but did not define where the boundary lies between AI-assisted and AI-generated content. As AI plays an increasing role in creative industries, this legal gray area could shape the future of copyright law. Thaler plans to continue his legal fight, potentially bringing the case to the Supreme Court.

В отличие от обычных компьютеров, которые перебирают варианты последовательно, квантовые работают с помощью кубитов. Кубит может быть не только 0 или 1, как классический бит, а и 0, и 1 одновременно — это состояние называется суперпозицией . Это позволяет им просчитывать огромное количество сценариев параллельно.
Где это изменит всё:

3. «Это же огромный шкаф, он никогда не будет в телефоне!»
Помните историю? Первые компьютеры были размером с комнату (мейнфреймы), а их мощность была несравнима с тем, что мы держим в руках сегодня.
Наглядный пример: В вашем современном смартфоне больше вычислительной мощности, чем в компьютере, управлявшем полетом космического корабля «Аполлон» на Луну .
С квантовыми компьютерами может произойти та же эволюция. Сейчас это сложные лабораторные установки, требующие охлаждения почти до абсолютного нуля . Но технологии не стоят на месте. Кто знает, возможно, через 30-50 лет квантовые сопроцессоры станут такой же привычной частью нашей жизни, как сегодня камеры в телефонах.
Пока рано говорить о квантовых компьютерах в каждом доме, но гонка уже началась, и ее результаты определят будущее технологий, науки и нашей с вами жизни.

Решили поговорить про новые браузеры с AI — Comet от Perplexity и Atlas от OpenAI. Мы их потестили, можно сказать, что удобно, но как обычно, есть нюанс.
🌐 В обоих браузерах ИИ не просто выдаёт результаты поиска, а ещё и работает как агент — сам выполняет действия. Т.е. можно тут же сказать: открой мне такие-то источники и выдели в них то, что подходит под такие-то тезисы.
Ищут, открывают, выделяют, поясняют, добавляют от себя, указывают на что обратить внимание. Круто! Получается быстрее чем с обычным Яндексом.
Помогли с видео с Ютуба: составить саммари или перескочить на нужное время в таймлайне. Прямо транскрибировать не могут, если титры не включены, но в целом по длинным видяхам справляются с ответом на вопрос: а тут есть что-то про это?
Визуально сильных отличий по функционалу можно не найти с первого приближения. Но, по описанию самих разработчиков, разница есть. У Comet основа — это собственный ассистент + поиск Perplexity, у Atlas ChatGPT встроен прямо в браузер. Comet часть функций может работать локально, упор на контроль приватности, а вот у Atlas всё проходит через облако OpenAI.
🔤🔤 И отсюда главный вывод: наверно не стоит открывать Госуслуги в этих браузерах, если бдите за своей приватностью. Даже когда ИИ пишет, что всё безопасно — он всё равно отправляет содержимое вашей страницы на серверы, чтобы её обработать. То есть всё, что вы не хотели засветить миру о себе, лучше делать в обычном браузере.
Но Comet и Atlas вам точно пригодятся, если много ищете и анализируете информацию в интернете. В разы ускоряет процесс, и галлюцинаций пока не заметили. Если ссылается на источник, то информация оттуда реально там есть.
🖱 Установить Comet можно на macOS, Windows, Atlas пока только на macOS.
