Я, конечно, слышал об эстонских поселениях, но реальных масштабов не представлял: "August Nigol mapped 318 newly established Estonian settlements outside the ethnic territory of Estonia, while it is estimated that the number of Estonians living outside the ethnic borders but within the Russian Empire was approximately 200,000 before World War I – about 20 per- cent of the total Estonian population"
