IRAN “FRIGHTENINGLY CLOSE” TO NUCLEAR WEAPON, US OFFICIAL WARNS Energy Secretary Chris Wright told lawmakers that Iran is “frighteningly close” to producing weapons-grade uranium. He said Iran could be “weeks away” from reaching weapons-grade enrichment, noting that while weaponization would still be required afterward, the country is nearing a critical threshold.
