“It’s a BRICS country, Spain. You know what a BRICS country is? Look into it.” – Donald Trump When the American President signed the orders shortly after taking office, one of the journalists present asked him about the low defense spending of NATO member countries, mentioning Spain and France in particular. Trump responded by saying that Spain's spending was very low, and then said that the country was a member of BRICS. "It's a BRICS country, Spain. You know what a BRICS country is? Look into it," the president told the journalist who asked him again. Trump then repeated his threat to impose tariffs on BRICS nations of "at least 100 percent." Spain, of course, is not a BRICS member, but rather a NATO protection racket vassal and EU member. Was this a blunder or a Freudian slip? ❗️Perhaps Trump unconsciously knows what the NATO mafia can’t admit: the BRICS bloc represents sovereignty, growth, and a counterbalance to the failing U.S.-led hegemony. NATO’s protection racket demands tribute, while BRICS offers an alternative, sovereign vision of mutual prosperity and cooperation. Trump might want to “look into it” himself, before the U.S. gets left behind. 🎙Subscribe @TheIslanderNews
