Just one state holds primaries today: Maryland. With Larry Hogan term-limited, this is one of Democrats’ two best opportunities to flip a governorship. The biggest thing to watch is whether Dems will be successful in their continued meddling in GOP primaries. It’s a risky strategy they’ve used throughout the country: Give an assist to the candidate they want to run against by attacking them for being too conservative or Trumpy, which raises their profile and appeal to the MAGA base.
