While control of both chambers has been called, here’s why the Dec. 6 Georgia Senate runoff is still incredibly important to watch: 👉 If Republican Herschel Walker flips the seat, the Senate will remain evenly split at 50-50, with VP Kamala Harris breaking ties and moderates like Joe Manchin holding huge leverage. 👉 If Democrat Raphael Warnock holds his seat, the balance of power will shift further to the left, giving Dems a 51-49 majority. Committees would no longer be evenly split, speeding up judicial nominations and avoiding bill deadlocks. We’ll be back with results and a look at the final balance of power in the 118th Congress.
