A survey of 187 Republican county chairs about their preferences so far in the 2024 presidential nomination is promising for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — and less so for Donald Trump — per a survey by POLITICO Magazine contributor Seth Masket. 73% of those surveyed said they’d consider supporting DeSantis while just 43% included Trump on their list. When it came to who they definitely don’t want to win, 4 in 10 said Trump. Fewer than 1 in 10 said the same for DeSantis.
