Hugging Face (Twitter) RT @ben_burtenshaw: I’ve had a very wild 2025 at Hugging Face, so I thought I’d share a deeply linkedin vibed post about what my work is like and how we ship at HF. I’ll use some of the random questions folk ask and answer them: > what team are you in? I am a little team know as 🥑. We have a wide variety of functions; from helping teams release new models, to writing docs, to building tools like transformers. We don’t have borders on what we do, we just do what needs doing. We’re autonomous, independent, and friendly! > what was the best thing you did this year? Actually not the biggest visibility things, probably contributing the NanoChat model to transformers. It went under the radar, but it was a wild learning experience. > what do you want to work on more? Training Agents. Contributing to the OpenEnv project was really cool. I’m super into RL for agents, and have been a fan boy for years. Because of that, I spend a lot of time watching environment projects and making minor contributions. This was the first time that I really got let in and ran with it. I’m super excited for where it’s going. > should I apply for a job at Hugging Face? Being real, this isn’t an easy question. It’s an amazing place to work where people love what they do. However, it’s not for everyone. We’re given a load of autonomy to work on the projects we think are impactful. And we work in super async and remote ways. That takes a push to get working. There’s no playbook or recipe, just warm encouragement and solid feedback. Happy 2026
