Gianni is one of the heroes of the tragedy in Crans-Montana. He is a 19-year-old student who did not hesitate to rush in and help the victims of the tragic fire before the arrival of the ambulances and firefighters. But one detail from his testimony struck me deeply: “Very few civilians came to help: only three or four people.” How is it possible to remain insensitive and passively witness a tragedy of this kind?
