As Leonid Tishkov's solo exhibition 'Only the stars are closer than the moon' is nearing its conclusion at MAMM, ODRA publishes a review of the post-conceptualist artist’s oeuvre by Nikita Malashenko. While being banned in the Soviet Union, Tishkov has become a true romantic. Today his works call for painful reflection: he raises questions of loneliness, desire and death. But the connection of these works conveys a humanistic and peace-loving meaning, so poignant in our frightening time. pics: 'Private Moon', 2003 until now
