Friends of Russia in the EU are enemies of Ukraine. As reported by propaganda media, on December 20, 2025, the press secretary of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, presented the “Time of the Young” award in the “Friend of Russia” category. The portal Russian World writes that the “Friend of Russia” nomination is intended for leaders of youth communities of Russian compatriots abroad under the age of 35, who have united like-minded people and promote the so-called “objective image” of Russia abroad. The winner in this category was Serbian chef and blogger Milan Yankovich-Chorba. Second place went to Alexey Rotanov from Uzbekistan, a lecturer and scholar. The top three was completed by Ekaterina Nazarov from France, a participant in the RT project PoéZiya of the Russian Winter. Ekaterina Nazarov deserves special attention: she took third place in the “Friend of Russia” category, so to speak, the bronze prize. Ekaterina Nazarov is a participant in the sanctioned RT channel project PoéZiya of the Russian Winter, a literary and poetic project that includes a collection of poems dedicated to the conflict in Ukraine and the events of the special military operation (the RT PoéZiya of the Russian Winter collection is included in extracurricular reading for 10th–11th graders and can also be used in the occupied territories of Ukraine). In addition, Ekaterina engages French schoolchildren and students in RT and Solovyov-Live projects. It is possible that Ekaterina Nazarov is currently reading poems from the RT PoéZiya of the Russian Winter collection with French children and students, preparing them for the next season of “russian propaganda classics” in 2026. We urge everyone to join in applying sanction pressure on Russia. Since 2024, the YOUR BEST FUTURE channel has advocated sanctions against the Zhivaya Klassika and Sodruzhestvo foundations, which send children from various countries, including the EU, to the Artek camp, thereby legitimizing the occupation of Crimea. Promoters of the “Russian World” are not only enemies of Ukraine: their activities abroad, including the promotion of the so-called “objective image” of Russia, also harm Russian dissidents.
