🇮🇳India’s Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) plant at Kota has been officially cleared to begin operation Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC)manufactures: - Nuclear fuel bundles - Reactor core structural components. These are used in Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) — It will have 500 tonnes per year of nuclear fuel production capacity for 700 MWe indigenous PHWRs of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL). In simple words: India has approved a new factory that makes fuel for nuclear power plants, helping the country generate more clean electricity and rely less on imports.
