🇮🇳GOI to Launch Nationwide Mobile-Based Disaster Communication Systems on 2nd May The system has been developed by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, to ensure the timely dissemination of critical information to its citizens. The following message will be sent to mobile handsets in all capital cities of India along with Delhi and NCR as launch exercise. The messages will be sent in English, Hindi and Regional languages: “India, launches Cell Broadcast using indigenous technology, for instant disaster alerting service for its citizens. Alert citizens, safe nation. No action is required by the public upon receipt of this message.
