0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣🇯🇵 • A ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Japanese Law Research Center was held at Tashkent State University of Law The event was attended by Takashi Hattori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan; Sherzod Rabiev, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Professor Islambek Rustambekov, Acting Rector of TSUL; representatives of government and non-government organizations; international guests; the representatives of TSUL and Nagoya University; as well as faculty and graduates of the Center. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of the Center in the study of the Japanese language and law, highlighting its contribution to strengthening academic ties between Uzbekistan and Japan. During the ceremony, Naoshi Sugiyama, President of Nagoya University and a long-time partner of TSUL, was awarded the honorary title of “Honorary Professor of Tashkent State University of Law” in recognition of his contributions to both countries and universities. Certificates were also presented to graduates of the Japanese Law Research Center. A festive atmosphere was created by a concert program prepared by TSUL students. For reference: The Japanese Law Research Center was established as part of a long-term strategic partnership between TSUL and the prestigious Nagoya University in Japan. The Center plays an important role in strengthening academic ties between the two countries, providing students with opportunities for in-depth study of the Japanese language, as well as fundamental and applied knowledge of the Japanese legal system. It also supports students in conducting research in the field of law.
