2⃣2⃣2⃣ • A meeting was held on the topic "Enlightenment Against Ignorance" at TSUL As you know, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Committee on Religious Affairs and other organizations, has planned to conduct preventive activities among the faculty and students of educational institutions in September–October of this year. These activities include organizing round tables and educational meetings on the topics "Enlightenment Against Ignorance" and "The Priority of Human Dignity and Rights — the Foundation of Progress". In fulfillment of these tasks, a meeting on the topic "Enlightenment Against Ignorance" was held at Tashkent State University of Law. The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Davronbek Maksudov, who spoke about the reforms being carried out in the country's religious sphere, ensuring freedom of religion, protecting youth from destructive ideas, and strengthening spiritual immunity. It was noted that the root of ignorance is indifference and lack of knowledge, and the strongest weapon against it is enlightenment, thinking, and critical perception. Therefore, it is important to cultivate a culture of reading among young people, as well as deeply instill ideas of patriotism, tolerance, and humanism.
