π€ππ¨βπ«π©βπ«πΊπΏπ€π―π΅β’ Delegation of the Institute for Asian Satellite Campuses of Nagoya University visited TSUL A delegation consisting of Deputy Director of the Institute for Asian Satellite Campuses of Nagoya University (Japan) Kawakita Kazuhito, staff member of the Instituteβs International Cooperation Department Odake Yuko, Professor of Nagoya University Graduate School of Law Alisher Umirdinov, and staff member of the University Office in Uzbekistan Jahongir Hakimov, visited Tashkent State University of Law. The meeting organized on this occasion was attended by Acting Rector of Tashkent State University of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Islambek Rustambekov, the university representatives, as well as representatives of the Center for Japanese Law Studies. During the discussion, the parties talked about the activities of the Center for Japanese Law Studies, established in 2005 within the framework of cooperation between Nagoya University and Tashkent State University of Law, which has been successfully operating to this day. They also discussed the achievements of Uzbek students currently studying at Nagoya University and the important role of the Center in their success. In his speech, Professor Islambek Rustambekov noted that scientific and legal ties between Uzbekistan and Japan are strengthening year by year, and the Centerβs activities play an important role as a bridge between the two countries in the fields of legal education, scientific research, and academic exchange. In turn, Kawakita Kazuhito, expressing satisfaction with the cooperation, emphasized that within the framework of the ASCI activities at Nagoya University, Uzbek students are achieving remarkable success. He particularly noted that both the number and the level of training of young specialists studying Japanese law are increasing every year. During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to further improving the Centerβs activities. In this regard, an initiative was proposed to reform the Center for Japanese Law Studies into a joint faculty, with the aim of bringing cooperation between Tashkent State University of Law and Nagoya University to a new stage. This initiative envisions the introduction of joint educational programs in Japanese law, the establishment of a dual degree system, the expansion of academic exchange among faculty members, as well as the creation of greater opportunities for internships and scientific research for Uzbek students in Japan. During the event, the advantages of this initiative and the mechanisms for its implementation were discussed, and an agreement was reached to develop the necessary legal and organizational measures. For reference: The Center for Japanese Law Studies, established in 2005 as part of the cooperation between Nagoya University and Tashkent State University of Law, continues to operate successfully and each year, more than 40 first-year students are admitted to the Center, and to date, 110 students have graduated from it. @tsulbox
