βοΈπ¨βπ»π©βπ»π¬ β’ Issues of Legal Linguistics, Legal Technique, and Terminology have been discussed The 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference titled βLaw-Making in the State Language: Problems of Legal Linguistics, Legal Technique, and Terminologyβ was held at Tashkent State University of Law. The conference was organized by the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature of TSUL in cooperation with the Department of Kazakh Philology of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. The event was attended by members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of governmental and public organizations, as well as national and international experts, scholars, professors, researchers, and students. During the international conference, participants discussed the issues of linguistic expertise of draft normative legal acts in the national legislative language, recordkeeping in the state language, compiling terminological and explanatory legal dictionaries, use of new legal terms in legislation, legal terminology and its application in legal drafting, as well as the teaching of legal linguistics and legal technique. Participants also exchanged views on innovative approaches in language and education, related challenges, and possible solutions. Within the framework of the conference, presentations were made on the following topics: βCurrent Issues in the Development of the State Language in Uzbekistanβ; βWays of Forming Legal Terms in the Kazakh Languageβ; βThe Language Factor in Ensuring the Effectiveness of Legal Acts: Some Theoretical and Legal Aspectsβ; βThesaurus as a Source of Industry Termsβ; βThe State Language and Its Legal Status: The Case of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistanβ; βNew Terms Entering the Language of Legislation: Legal Necessity and Linguistic Normβ; βLanguage of National Legislation: Legal and Technical Problemsβ; βForeign Words in the Language of Law: How to Regulate Them?β; βSemantic Relations of Lexical Units in Legal Languageβ; βScientific Expertise: Legal Basis and Analysis.β Following the conference, it is planned to publish a collection of conference materials. @tsulbox
