Nekogram APKs Accused of Hidden Spying Code | One Jail Break
A new investigation by security researcher Repinek is raising alarm over Nekogram, a widely used third-party Telegram client, with claims the app’s Android builds may include covert spying functionality. The report alleges that released APKs contain hidden code capable of collecting and silently transmitting sensitive user data.
The core concern isn’t just privacy, it’s trust. According to the findings, the behavior identified in compiled APKs does not exist in the project’s public source code, suggesting users may be installing something materially different from what developers publish on the Nekogram GitHub.

📌В Госдуме заявили, что Telegram осталось сделать несколько шагов, чтобы снять претензии Роскомнадзора
Автором заявления стал глава думского комитета по информационной политике Сергей Боярский. По его словам, Telegram контактирует с РКН по поводу ограничений работы мессенджера, в отличие от WhatsApp*.
«На сегодняшний день администрация Telegram находится в контакте с Роскомнадзором. Там, условно говоря, из ста материалов, которые они просят удалить, какая-то часть удаляется, какая-то не удаляется. Для меня это очень странно», — сказал парламентарий в беседе с «Фонтанкой».
Боярский отметил, что Telegram идет на контакт с РКН, в отличие от WhatsApp, администрация которого не реагировала «ни на одно письмо, ни на одну претензию». При этом, по словам главы думского комитета, мессенджер может «сделать еще несколько шагов вперед», чтобы снять претензии РКН и «выстроить с ним отношения».
