The Pectra upgrade went live just a few hours ago, successfully implementing 11 EIPs. Here are the two most important ones: EIP-7691: Boosts Layer 2 Efficiency Doubles data availability for rollups, reducing congestion and cutting L2 transaction fees by ~30β40%. Swaps and transactions on L2s (like ARB, OP) become cheaper β potentially under a cent. EIP-7251: Raises Validator Cap Increases the max balance per validator from 32 ETH to 2048 ETH. This allows large stakers to consolidate multiple validators into a single validator, reducing operational complexity. Min staking stays at 32 ETH, keeping it accessible for solo stakers Why it matters: IMO This could be the most impactful change. Likely aligned with ETFs and institutional interest, it simplifies staking for large investors by allowing validator consolidation. Result? More ETH gets locked in staking, reducing cir. Supply and easing sell pressure. This supply constraint could be a bullish catalyst for ETH, especially with rising institutional demand.
