Google is reportedly developing a Python-based Layer 1 blockchain (GCUL) for institutions. 👀 But here’s the catch – Google has killed 297+ projects before (Jamboard being the latest in 2024). Will GCUL end up as the 298th abandoned experiment? Research (Journal of Blockchain Research, 2023) suggests Python could make smart contracts more flexible & developer-friendly. But let’s be real, Google isn’t exactly known for being neutral, their monopoly vibes make it hard to fully trust this so called ‘NEUTRAL INFRA.'
