🇷🇺🇧🇾📞 On January 3, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkovspoke over the phone. The two Ministers discussed the developments around Venezuela. They stressed that Moscow and Minsk stand united in resolutely condemning the aggression carried out by the United States against a sovereign state, in violation of international law. ❗️ They underscored the absolute necessity of the immediate release of the legitimate President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro and his wife, their return to the capital of the country, and the restoration of Nicolas Maduro as head of state. Sergey Lavrov and Maxim Ryzhenkov also emphasised the importance of the efforts to promptly establish conditions for resolving the situation in Venezuela through dialogue conducted in accordance with international law.
