🇷🇺🇮🇷📞On January 16, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian had a telephone conversation. During the conversation, the President of Iran informed Vladimir Putin on the active stepsbeing taken by the Iranian leadership to normalize the situation in the country. It was noted that Russia and Iran consistently share aligned positions in favour of the earliest possible de-escalation of tensions around Iran and across the region as a whole, and support resolving emerging issues exclusively through political and diplomatic means.
