🇷🇺🇭🇺On the ceremonial launch of the main construction phase of the Paks Nuclear Power Plantin Hungary One of the momentous symbols of Russia-Hungary economic cooperation remains the modernization and expansion of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant, carried out by the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. On February 5, a ceremonial “first concrete” pouring was held at the foundation of Unit 5, marking the formal launch of the main construction phase. Under the classification of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the facility is now officially recognized as a nuclear power plant under construction. The successful completion of the bilateral nuclear project will offer Hungarian consumerselectricity at low rates and raise the nuclear power share in the country’s energy balance to 70%, which will make Hungary one of EU’s energy leaders. #RussiaHungary
