Their multidimensional development is an informed strategic choice based on the wide convergence of core national interests, profound mutual trust, strong public support and sincere friendship between the peoples of the two countries. 📈 Trade and economic relations between our countries are developing at a fast pace, showing strong immunity to external challenges and crises. Vladimir Putin and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on the current issues regarding the further development of the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between the two countries. They discussed ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the economy, trade, investment, culture, education, and sports. The history of Russian-Chinese relations spans centuries, but October 2, 1949 holds a special place in it. On the second day after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Soviet Union recognised the New China and established diplomatic ties with it. In the early days of China as a fledgling state, the Soviet Union provided substantial support to it. Over the decades, the bilateral relationship has faced numerous strength tests, but, most importantly, we have shown strategic wisdom and perseverance.
