In a home game against the Colorado Avalanche, the Russian forward “capitalised” on the power play in the 55th minute. After a slick passing play involving rookie Cole Hutson and Dylan Strome, Ovechkin took aim and buried a precise one-timer. The goal sent the game into overtime, where the visitors ultimately came out on top. 🏒 It marked Ovi's 26th goal of the season and his 923rd in NHL regular-season play– extending his record as the league’s all-time leader in that category.With playoffs combined, Alex now has 1,000 career goals.
