🇷🇺🇺🇦Geran-5 Jet-Drone Deployed, Then Shot Down, in Ukraine Russia deployed its new Geran-5 jet-powered kamikaze UAV in Ukraine in early 2026. The drone, approximately 6 meters long with a 5.5-meter wingspan, carries a 90 kg warhead and has a range of up to 1,000 km. The Geran-5 utilizes satellite navigation and a more powerful jet engine than its predecessor, the Geran-3. Reports indicate potential air-launch capabilities and possible air-to-air missile integration for the UAV. The Geran-5 has now been used in combat, striking a target near Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The drone's maximum speed is 400-600 km/h, with a maximum altitude of 2,000 meters.
