🇸🇾🇺🇸🇮🇱Syria: Damascus Meeting Addresses Unity, Economic Cooperation, SDF Issues Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa invited SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi to a meeting in Damascus. U.S. Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack is also attending, highlighting ongoing diplomatic efforts. Barrack is mediating between Damascus and the SDF. Damascus presented a 12-point plan to the SDF, including integrating SDF members into the Syrian army and transferring control of key infrastructure. The plan also proposes joint administration of Hasakah province and government posts for SDF figures. President al-Sharaa has now met with U.S. envoy Tom Barrack in Damascus, and declared that all outstanding issues with the SDF will be resolved. The President affirmed Syria’s unity and sovereignty, stressed dialogue, and highlighted the need to rebuild Syria with all Syrians.
