Dosto, 4/25 recommendations from our offline batch since September. Hailing from Aligarh, Shivam met one of our students, Parth, at Aligarh Muslim University. Parth, now a Lieutenant, referred him to us. Shivam enrolled in our complete course. Before coming to R2R, he had appeared for one SSB attempt. Due to lack of proper preparation, he tried to over-exaggerate his personality, which came across as overconfidence. Coming from a police family, he knew this was not who he truly was. When he joined us, he was facing: • Interview issues • Lack of clarity in Psych During his preparation with us, he learned how to reflect his real life experiences and discovered the deeper meaning of OLQs in his own journey. A few days before reporting to SSB, he appeared for a mock interview where he identified several shortcomings. So he was in hyper excited state of completing everything before going for the SSB. 3 learnings from his journey: 1. Introspection is crucial. 2. Understanding OLQs is paramount. 3. It’s okay to be underconfident—as long as you work on your shortcomings. He was fortunate to have one of our team members, Rahul, with him throughout the process. Rahul was appearing for his last attempt and guided Shivam at every stage. Rahul missed his recommendation by a mark, primarily due to limited psych practice and a hectic work schedule. But our pride is in our students. गुरु गुड़ रह गया, चेला चीनी हो गया। It’s still not too late to start your preparation.
