👍 Critical $6.5M Vulnerability Fixed in Zcash (ZEC) Alex "Scalar" Sol discovered a critical vulnerability in Zcash node software that allowed attackers to drain the outdated Sprout pool holding about 25,424 ZEC (approximately $6.5 million). The bug has been active since July 2020 and was found on March 23 using AI tools. The researcher received a reward of 200 ZEC (around $51,000).
