šŸ”„ Top 10 tips to win in a bull market āž”ļø Don’t cut winners for losers Few people are able to time rotations correctly. The majority of the time I rotated from winners I was better off just holding it. Coins that are outperforming the market are doing so for a reason. They are in demand. People want to buy them. āž”ļøWait for confirmation instead of frontrunning it Unless I have a genuine reason for believing something is undervalued, I do better waiting for confirmation before buying something that is underperforming. You won’t catch the bottom this way but you are saving yourself a lot of risk in the process. āž”ļøLook for opportunities in the present Just because you missed the original move doesn’t mean there aren’t any more opportunities. Focus on what opportunities there are in the present. There is always an opportunity somewhere. Shifting your mindset is important if you want to perform. āž”ļøLet go of Market PTSD It’s normal to get PTSD and feel less confident about markets after a bear market. Every time you see a high you think it will dump. You can’t envision it going any higher. In price expansion, it’s crucial that you trade the market for what it is. Leave the baggage behind. Managing risk is important but don’t let fear control you. āž”ļøPosition Sizing What separates good traders from great ones is position sizing. If there is a trade I have high conviction in, why wouldn’t I size more? It’s hard. Sometimes you don’t feel comfortable with your entry. But I'm trying to size more in conviction plays rather than taking smaller bets on everything. āž”ļøConcentration over Dispersion Something I am trying to do this cycle is concentrate on larger conviction bets rather than decent trade ideas as smaller positions. ā€œDiversifyingā€ hurts more than it helps in crypto alts share a similar correlation with BTC and other risk assets. If you try to chase every opportunity, there is none to chase. āž”ļøLeaders vs. Laggards In bull markets where everything tends to go up, I think it’s best to be somewhat allocated to leaders that are outperforming the market over laggards that continue to show weakness. There are exceptions but my mindset is what is the best thing I could buy with my capital today. āž”ļøBe with Good Company Having a good group of people you are trading with is much easier than trading alone. It helps you build conviction, share thoughts, and lets you trade with a better mindset. There is so much more you can do with smart people. āž”ļøDon’t obsess over the Perfect Entry If there is a project that I have high conviction in sometimes I just need to take the trade even if it’s not a perfect entry. If I was obsessed over getting the perfect entry in Aster I would have missed out on the move completely. Great trades don’t always wait until you are ready. āž”ļøBull Markets End Bull markets won’t last forever and chances are you won’t be able to time the top. That’s ok. That is why you take profit on the way up and stay nimble. Don’t be the person adding more risk on top of risk as the market goes up with no exit strategy. 🐓Powered by White Horse
