📚 How do Swiss colleges manage education effectively? That was the key question explored during a three-day training titled “Support for Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teaching in Vocational Education Institutions”, held from May 13–15 in Tashkent as part of the VET4UZ project. 🎓 Participants included directors of vocational colleges and technicums from across Uzbekistan — representing Tashkent, Tashkent regions, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, Fergana, Khorezm, Navoi, Andijan, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. They came together to explore: — How is vocational education organized and managed in Switzerland? — What makes teaching more effective and practice-oriented? — How can we help students become in-demand professionals even before graduation? 🎓 The training was delivered by international experts from the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training (SFUVET): Emanuel Wüthrich, Senior Advisor at SFUVET, and Ben Hütter, former director of IDM Thun and board member of the Swiss Association of VET College Directors. 🧠 The training agenda covered: ▪️ Governance principles for vocational institutions ▪️ Symmetric pedagogy and modern teaching approaches ▪️ Selection and development of teaching staff ▪️ Roles of educators, students, and employers in the learning process ▪️ Infrastructure development and labor market alignment ▪️ And most importantly — how to apply these insights in the context of Uzbekistan 🌍 This was more than just a training. It was an inspiration to act. The VET4UZ project continues to share global best practices with those shaping the future of vocational education in Uzbekistan. #VET4UZ#VocationalEducation#VETUzbekistan#KasbiyTalim#HelvetasUzbekistan#EducationReform#SwissExperience
