The big Trump and Republican victory will create a vastly more favorable policy environment for oil and gas investment up and down the supply chain. It will also remove incipient policy threats, especially against exports. However, the US can enjoy a healthy shale oil sector and sharply lower oil prices, but not both. Unless sanctions or, God forbid, conflict disrupt crude flows, the near-term outlook for US shale oil production will depend more on decisions made in Vienna than in Washington. #OOTT#OPEC#oilandgas#energy#Geopolitics
