In addition to prize money, the winner of this contest may join the 🛫Telegram Team in Dubai and earn $1 million per year after taxes by year 3. THE TASK Rework the existing profile screens by implementing the new design flow in strict accordance with the mockups provided below: – Profiles of users, businesses, groups, and channels must be covered, including groups with topics enabled. – Support for both day and night themes is mandatory. – All related tabs and profile instances must be supported, including those where gifts are displayed. 💡 For this task, we recommend building the relevant screens from scratch. However, reusing existing code components is acceptable. Contest Requirements: – You must use Java. – No third-party UI frameworks are allowed. – The submission must be consistent with the existing Telegram for Android codebase. – The app's stability and performance must not be affected with the changes you made. – The app must be free of significant flaws(including crashes, visual glitches, noticeable element blinking, layout errors, and more). ❗️The implementation must precisely follow the provided design mockups, including all transitions shown in the animated demos. Evaluation: During the evaluation stage, we will review your code and test the submission on a wide range of Android devices. Submissions: Contestants will be able to submit their entries to @ContestBot at a later date. We will further clarify the submission instructions closer to the deadline.

Massive Data Breach Exposes 16 Billion Passwords A major cybersecurity threat has emerged as researchers from Cybernews uncovered a compilation of over 16 billion stolen login credentials in what is now considered the largest-ever credential leak. The data includes user information from leading platforms such as #Google, Facebook, Instagram, #Apple, Gmail, #Telegram, GitHub, and even government portals. The leaked credentials were sourced from over 30 different databases, many of which were obtained through infostealer malware. The credentials include a mix of older leaks and newly compromised accounts, indicating ongoing security breaches. Telegram Beta for iOS Introduces Task Lists The latest Telegram Beta update for iOS introduces a new feature : Task Lists, allowing users to create and manage up to 30 items per list. This feature is designed to enhance productivity and collaboration within the app. Task lists can be created in both personal chats and group chats, with the following configurable options when used in groups: Collective Status Management: Group members can be allowed to mark tasks as completed or undo them. The avatar of the person who marks a task as complete will be displayed next to the checkmark. Collaborative Editing: The list creator can enable all group participants to add new tasks. Improved "Messages to Channels" Feature In the Beta version of Telegram for iOS 11.13 (30945), users can specify the number of stars they are willing to pay and set the desired publication time when sending a message to a channel. To do this, tap the button 💬 in the message input field. The suggested post will display an information block at the top, showing the cost and time. The channel administrator can suggest changes in the text, as well as in the price and time of publication. The feature is still in development and currently works only on the test server. 🎙 A week ago, Tucker Carlson published an interview with me about what happened in France. It was covered by media in many countries — except, interestingly, in France. None of the French newspapers mentioned the interview. 🤐 📰 However, the French media hasn’t lost interest in Telegram. Last week, Le Monde, the country’s main newspaper, invited its readers to report whether they watch pirated football matches on Telegram. This attempt to crowdsource a negative story about us appears to be part of a broader strategy. 😐 😑 In just the 7 weeks following my arrest in Paris, Le Monde published 40 negative articles about Telegram. In violation of journalistic ethics, they did not ask us for a comment in 37 of these 40 articles and always ignored the factual corrections we sent them. 🤦‍♂️ 📣 Such a media environment is alarming. This is why platforms like Telegram are so important — we enable people to access all points of view and decide for themselves.
