Although it's not officially restricted in the country, but has been confirmed to be slow, chats take a couple of minutes to load, as experts write for the publication "Kommenrsant", and "Updating…" and "Connecting…" statuses fluctuate. Messages won't send or download on home internet, and mobile data is a nonsense — sometimes only websites on the "white list" work. In just a few days: 1. Telegram has been fined 5 million rubles by Moscow's Tagansky Court seven times per item of unremoved information, for a total of 35 million. The total fine is 185 million rubles. 2. The RuNet is experiencing a series of outages involving domestic services, a repeat of 2018. A domestic crash detector website once returned a 502 error. 3. Fighting scammers? Ha!, scammers have started offering citizens a "modified" Telegram app that will "work without interruption," providing an anonymous number and free premium. In reality, this is a classic scheme to block Apple devices, like iPhones, and demand a ransom. This scam has been around for a long time; previously, it was promised to install Ayugram on iPhones (it's not officially developed). In short, never log in with someone else's Apple ID.
