Buongiorno a tutti! Ora che le feste sono finite, potete digerire con calma e leggere questa curiosità sulla "@" che ho trovato per caso in un gruppo del paese in cui abito. Il segno della chiocciola @ è stato inventato in Veneto! La chiocciola @ è un carattere apparso insistentemente nella nostra vita negli ultimi vent’anni. La sua storia poggia le basi nella Venezia del pieno Medioevo, nel VI secolo d.C., quando l’Impero Romano d’Occidente era già caduto, ma quello d’Oriente era ancora ben saldo. In questo quadro economico Venezia si confermava come una vera e propria capitale dei commerci. La città veneta aveva un ruolo così importante e predominante, da permettersi il lusso di crearsi unità di misura inventate, per rendere più equi possibili gli atti di compravendita. In questo contesto venne inventata la chiocciola @. All’inizio nasce probabilmente come unione stilizzata delle lettere “a” e “d” minuscole, formanti la locuzione “ad”. Un’altra ipotesi la vuole come fusione delle lettere “a” e “c” in quanto il cerchio che avvolge la “a” ha di fatto la forma di una “c”. Questo simbolo s’è evoluto poi nel tempo, fino ad essere portato come lo conosciamo oggi. In realtà graficamente simboleggiava “l’anfora” che, nei tempi antichi, era utilizzata come unità di misura di peso o di capacità ,a seconda se c’erano all’interno dei solidi o dei liquidi. #info
