​​LAUNCHING THE "HISTORY" COLUMN Let's start our introduction with the project city of Kagan in Bukhara region. Bukhara is one of the most revered Islamic cities. The ancient part of the city was probably developed more than 2500 years ago. At different times Bukhara was the capital of the Samanids (X-XI centuries) and the capital of the Bukhara Khanate (XVI-XIX centuries). Passenger trains with a destination of Bukhara arrive at the station in the city of Kagan, 12 kilometers from Bukhara itself. But there is no need to hurry to Bukhara. In front of the station, behind the trees there is a wonderful building, built in a non-traditional style for the East - the Palace of Emir of Bukhara, built in 1898 by the project of Alexei Leontievich Benua for Emir Seyid Abdulahad-khan.
