The Battle of the Alamo (Texas), happened 189 years ago today A battle during the Mexican-Texas war, for the important Fort of Alamo. It actually became legendary because no Man survived, they fought to the last man for 14 glorious days. This let Sam Houston develope a Texas standing army and prepare to defeat the Mexican Imperialist. Glory to James Bowie and his strong fighting spirit, glory to William B. Travis, Army commander who refused to surrender, glory to Davy Crocket and his Tennessee Volunteers.
