I am now back in the UK, and safely on my way home. After more 25 hours of being stranded in the airport lounge, two police officers finally approached me and told me it was time to leave, before escorting me to a gate and making sure I was boarded on a direct flight home. Thankfully, I got back in one piece with all my luggage. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has reached out, sent kind messages and to all those who offered to help and did everything in their power to fight for my rights. The outpouring of support from around the world has been amazing and helped keep my spirits up. I do want to make one other point though, despite this being stressful and a thoroughly horrid experience, I have come through it without the need for a fundraiser, an emergency donation button or a shifty Canadian making YouTube videos demanding an immediate 'defence fund'. I got through this thanks to amazing friends and the support of the best community in the world. Thanks again for getting me through this and helping to keep my spirits high.
