On May 18, at the initiative of the Russian side, Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation (https://mid.ru/ru/foreign_policy/news/1813903/) with Tedros Adhanom, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO). Russia's support for the central role of WHO was confirmed, our readiness to continue to actively participate in the activities of the Organization, to make an important contribution to solving global health problems, including in the context of the ongoing fine-tuning of the international health emergency preparedness and response system.
