In a livestream with RT's Fiorella Isabel, Scott Ritter said that his close friend and Russian sponsor Alexander Zyryanov, who was arrested by the FSB hours before Ritter was scheduled to travel to St. Petersburg, had been targeted as part of an internal power struggle and "doesn't deserve to spend one day in jail". "All I'm asking people to do is start asking questions", Ritter said. (His comments start around the 13:45 mark.)
