📰 I tried Fedora and learned why it's not the beginner Linux distro everyone assumes it is Fedora is one of the best Linux distros out there, but if you're a beginner, it's probably not the best place to start. 🔗 Source: https://www.xda-developers.com/tried-fedora-learned-why-not-beginner-distro-everyone-assumes-it-is/ #distro#linux#fedora

📰 Fedora 44 will automatically make your Windows games run faster, no tweaks required Don't get me wrong; gaming on Linux has come a long way in the last few years. A decade ago, getting any game running on Linux that wasn't designed natively for it was a massive headache at best and impossible at worst. Now, thanks to the efforts from several sources, such as Valve with Proton, it seems like 2026 may be the year of gaming on Linux after all. 🔗 Source: https://www.xda-developers.com/fedora-44-will-automatically-make-your-windows-games-run-faster-no-tweaks-required/ #fedora#linux

📰 I tried openSUSE Tumbleweed, and it had me reconsidering my love for Fedora Okay, I admit it; I have a distro-hopping problem. It was only three months ago that I proudly declared that I had stopped jumping between Linux distros and settled on one, and yet the bug has bitten me once more. The weird thing is, this isn't even a 'the grass is greener on the other side' thing, because as far as I was concerned, my Fedora Kinoite-based grass was some of the greenest I had ever had. I suppose when you're given a buffet of... 🔗 Source: https://www.xda-developers.com/opensuse-tumbleweed-has-me-reconsidering-using-fedora/ #linux#opensuse#distro#fedora

📰 Fedora Workstation 44 Beta Benchmarks On The AMD Ryzen AI Max Framework Desktop Since last week's Fedora 44 Beta release I have been testing out this upcoming Fedora Linux version on a few systems in the lab, most notably with the Framework Desktop powered by the powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 "Strix Halo". Fedora Workstation 44 Beta has been looking nice and running stable albeit in some instances seeing lower performance at this point than Fedora Workstation 43 but overall in good shape. 🔗 Source: https://www.phoronix.com/review/fedora-44-beta #linux#fedora#amd
