🎙Read excerpts from the statement of Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE A.Volgarev «On increasing military involvement of certain NATO and EU member States in yet more confrontation in and around Ukraine» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 08.05.2025) 💬 As of today, a three-day “silence regime” on the line of combat contact, announced by Russian President V.Putin in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Soviet people’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War, has come into effect. Compliance with this ceasefire will clearly demonstrate the true attitude of the Kiev regime toward de-escalation initiatives and serve as an indicator of its readiness or non-readiness to seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict 👉 If the Kiev regime genuinely, not just in words, wishes to pursue politico-diplomatic resolution, it should lift the legislative self-ban on communication with Russian leadership, introduced by Zelensky in autumn of 2022, which hinders substantive contacts for achieving peace ☝️Today, the main task of the Kiev regime’s armed formations and its special services is to create public resonance through certain actions and terrorist attacks, intended to divert attention from the deteriorating situation for the Ukrainian armed formations along the entire line of combat contact 🗓 On April 26, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the entire territory of the Kursk region, Ukrainian armed formations were defeated there. The Kiev regime’s terrorist adventure of invading the Kursk region brought it neither military nor political gains. In the areas from which Zelensky’s formations were pushed out, numerous evidence of crimes committed against civilians were revealed ⚠️ The West’s intentions with regard to the Ukrainian conflict were confirmed in April by Finland’s Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office E.Valtonen in an interview with CBS News. She stated that NATO countries should “first and foremost keep Russia at bay” through military support for Ukraine while simultaneously strengthening their own military potential. This is a clear propaganda for militarization and prolongation of the armed conflict ❗️The terrorist methods of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, who have become the backbone for the Kiev regime, continue to be disgracefully ignored by Western representatives, including in the OSCE. On the eve of Victory Day, Russia’s FSB thwarted terrorist attacks planned and organized by the special services of Zelensky’s regime 🇷🇺 Russia is ready for meaningful contacts aimed at achieving a swift politico-diplomatic resolution of the conflict in and around Ukraine. Our country sets no preconditions for such dialogue, which should aim to overcome the destructive influence exerted by the West in Ukraine and to comprehensively address the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis in order to prevent any repetition of tragedies of that scale
