🎙Read excerpts from the statement by Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE M.Buyakevich «On increasing military involvement of certain NATO and EU member States in yet more confrontation in and around Ukraine» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 15.05.2025) 🗓 On 9 May 2025, the entire civilized world was commemorating the anniversary of the Victory over Nazism, emphasizing the need to counter the threats of resurgent neo-Nazism in certain societies. At the same time, representatives of the leadership of the group of sponsoring countries and political overseers of the neo-Nazi Kiev regime attempted to confront Russia by putting forward ultimatums and engaging in efforts to find ways to prolong the Ukrainian conflict ☝️It is abundantly clear that Kiev’s Western sponsors are delaying the moment of peace in Ukraine out of fear that they will have to bear responsibility for their failed and short-sighted anti-Russian strategy. The club of modern admirers of the Kiev regime is united by a common approach, which is hatred toward Russia, the desire to weaken and disintegrate our country by any means, as well as ambition to establish and consolidate Western global hegemony 🎖Following the solemn and commemorative events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian President V.Putin delivered a media statement on 11 May regarding the Ukrainian topic, outlining a series of initiatives aimed at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable peace ↔️ Resuming direct contacts between authorized representatives of Russia and Ukraine would enable serious, thoughtful work aimed at addressing the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict. At the same time, one should not forget the existing legislative self-imposed ban on contacts with Russia’s leadership, introduced by the Kiev regime in the fall of 2022 (Decree No. 679 by V. Zelensky), which still remains legally in force 🌐 Countries that are hostile to Russia harbor false hopes that our country’s leadership will abandon defending national interests and security. However, by expressing the will of the peoples of our vast multinational Motherland, to whose unity and strength a significant number of ethnic Ukrainians contribute nowadays, our country’s leadership is not seeking a “temporary truce” with NATO’s puppets in Kiev. Russia is committed to a long-term resolution and sustainable peace that will ensure conditions for stable and peaceful development of the Russian state for decades to come
