🎙Interview of the Russian Permanent Representative to the OSCE A.Lukashevich to “RIA Novosti” following the round table in Vienna on "The Helsinki Final Act as Political Heritage of the Victory in the Second World War" (May 27, 2025) ♦️50 years after the signing of the Helsinki Final Act there is a return to pre-Helsinki realities: it is an iron curtain for Russia and Belarus, sanctions, visa barriers, discrimination against the Russian and Russian-speaking population and the media with complete silence of institutions that should respond to such gross violations. 🔺OSCE has practically turned into its antipode. The organization is going through an internal crisis and suffers from politicization. It is difficult to see any prospects for it, given the way it works today. To a large extent, this will depend on the outcome of our Special Military Operation and the approaches that will probably lead to the settlement of this conflict. 🇪🇺 Today, Europe and the Euro-Atlantic region are dominated by the NATO-European Union nexus. They do not need any OSCE. They need it as a drive belt - a mechanism that will bring the Eastern post-Soviet space up to certain standards. The dividing lines in Europe and Euro-Atlantic are just being drawn again with a fat knife. 🔗Read in full
