🎙Read excerpts from the statement by Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE M.Buyakevich «On increasing military involvement of certain NATO and EU member States in yet more confrontation in and around Ukraine» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 29.05.2025) 🗓 On May 25, the final stage of a prisoner exchange involving military personnel and detained civilians, based on a "1,000 for 1,000" formula, was completed in the Belarusian settlement of Novaya Guta. This fulfilled agreements reached during direct Russian-Ukrainian talks on May 16 in Istanbul 🇷🇺 Russia is ready to continue contacts with the Ukrainian side. Work has been completed on a memorandum outlining the principles and timelines for a settlement. The Russian delegation is ready to present this memorandum to negotiators from Kiev at the next bilateral meeting in Istanbul on June 2 ☝️We note attempts by certain external forces controlling and sponsoring the Kiev regime to obstruct the resumed Russian-Ukrainian dialogue. The leadership of the UK, Germany, France, and the European Commission are particularly active in this, demonstratively ignoring the victims of the Kiev regime's crimes while continuing to announce new military supplies and funding for weapons and ammunition for Ukrainian armed formations. Their goal is to derail peace efforts, prolong and escalate hostilities, and use Ukraine as a tool against Russia literally to the last Ukrainian ⚡️ Since May 20, the armed formations of the Kiev regime have significantly increased the number of attacks on Russian regions using UAVs, actively employing NATO-supplied MLRS. Since mid-May, at least 230 civilians in Russia have been affected, with 26 killed and 204 injured, including 11 children 💬 The Russian Armed Forces are suppressing the firing positions of the Ukrainian armed formation, effectively reducing the military potential of Zelensky's regime. Our forces hold the strategic initiative along the entire line of contact and are advancing. Over the past week, at least 16 settlements and adjacent areas in the DPR, Kharkov, and Sumy regions have been liberated. A series of high-precision strikes targeted military intelligence and logistics facilities, and communication centers, as well as ammunition and weapons depots and military-industrial enterprises ℹ️ Russia is ready to work on a Ukrainian settlement with those who genuinely seek de-escalation and stabilization of the security situation around Ukraine, on the European continent, and globally. It is necessary to address the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict provoked by the EU and NATO, and to ensure long-term peace, including by taking into account Russia's legitimate security interests
