❗️We draw the attention of the OSCE Representative on Media Freedom J.Braathu to the situation surrounding the “Rossiya Segodnya” correspondent S.Feoktistov, who had previously been denied the right to continue working in Germany and ordered to leave it no later than 19 August. However, on June 6, he was not allowed off a flight to Berlin, and later the local police visited his family who had remained in the country and confiscated the passports of his wife and daughter, allegedly out of fear that they might abscond and fail to comply with the order to leave Germany by the approved deadline. 🔺 This is yet another act of pressure on the Russian media, political censorship and persecution not only of the journalist but also of his family members. We call on the OSCE Representative on Media Freedom J.Braathu to give an impartial and adequate assessment of these unlawful actions on the part of Berlin and to respond to them in an appropriate manner.
