🎙Read excerpts from the statement by Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE M.Buyakevich «On increasing military involvement of certain NATO and EU member States in yet more confrontation in and around Ukraine» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 03.07.2025) 💬 Not long ago, the Kiev regime and its Western backers claimed that the current conflict must be resolved on the battlefield to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia. However, it became evident even to the most ardent fantasists that NATO-trained and supplied proxy forces are incapable of achieving a military breakthrough ⚠️ Now, our adversaries are rushing to assert that the Ukrainian conflict has no military solution, demanding a prolonged truce without preconditions. This clearly reflects a strategy of prolonging rather than resolving the conflict by addressing its root causes ❗️The Kiev regime, so eager for a respite in the form of another truce, had numerous opportunities this year alone to demonstrate its commitment to establishing a "ceasefire." Yet, the 30-day moratorium on strikes against energy infrastructure was violated by Kiev's forces 136 times, the Easter truce was breached over 4,900 times, and the ceasefire during the celebrations of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War was violated over 14,000 times ☝️Despite ongoing hostilities, prisoner exchanges have continued, with active facilitation by the Republic of Belarus, over the past two weeks based on agreements reached by Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul on 2 June 🇷🇺 Russia remains open to continuing direct contacts with Ukrainian representatives to advance the Istanbul process. However, we note that the Ukrainian side is currently avoiding substantive dialogue on the draft memorandum outlining principles for a final conflict resolution, which was provided to them in Istanbul on 2 June 🗓 On 18 June, the Russian Foreign Ministry published its latest report on the human rights situation in Ukraine. The document is based on legal facts and irrefutable evidence, making it highly valuable amid the discredited assessments of the human rights situation in territories controlled by the Kiev regime, as provided by the OSCE leadership and OSCE structures
