🎙Read excerpts from the statement of Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE A.Volgarev «On increasing military involvement of certain NATO and EU member States in yet more confrontation in and around Ukraine» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 17.07.2025) 💬 Most recent events and the actions of certain Western elites suggest efforts to reinterpret the dynamics of the Ukrainian conflict, which is evidently not proceeding as planned for many NATO member states 🇺🇸 Washington is shifting the responsibility for military support of the agonizing Kiev regime to its European NATO allies. The U.S. is delegating not only the financing of the conflict but also the risks tied to potential armed escalation and the growing involvement of EU member states in direct confrontation with Russia 📉 To justify to their voters the need to "tighten belts" and cut social spending for the sake of an armed conflict with Russia, European leaders are working to convince the public that Russia aims to "test NATO's solidarity" in the coming years. Any falsehood or anti-Russian insinuation is used to bolster this narrative ⛔️ There is no "Wunderwaffe" for the Kiev regime, nor will there be. Neither Javelins, Abrams, HIMARS, ATACMS, F-16s, Patriots, nor any other systems have turned the tide. A military breakthrough in Kiev's favor is impossible. New NATO arms deliveries for Ukrainian armed formations only prolong the conflict, causing suffering to civilians on both sides of the frontline 🔁 Despite recent statements from the Kiev regime's leadership and its Western backers, we believe the "Istanbul format" of direct talks between Russian and Ukrainian representatives remains viable. We are prepared for a new round of consultations to discuss the memorandum on the principles of a final conflict resolution, submitted on 2 June 🇷🇺 Russia will not waver from its objectives to address the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict. A just and lasting peace is needed, one that accounts for our country's legitimate interests and concerns
