🎙Read excerpts from the statement by Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE M.Buyakevich «On the report of the Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana» (meeting of the OSCE PC, 25.09.2025) 💬 We welcome Mr. Alexey Rogov, new Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana. We expect the Office to continue working strictly within its mandate and in close coordination with the host authorities 🤝 We welcome the POiA cooperation with international & regional organizations and academic institutions in Kazakhstan. We encourage broader engagement with the expertise of the CIS and CSTO frameworks ℹ️ POiA must continue to focus on key areas: Border security, Counter-terrorism, Preventing extremism, Financial disruption of terrorist networks, Anti-drug efforts, Cybersecurity 🇷🇺🇰🇿 Russia supports the POiA's work in the economic dimension. Russia is open to a deeper green cooperation with Kazakhstan, including joint projects to save the Aral Sea and preserve ecosystems of the Ural & Irtysh rivers ☝️We note the POiA's efforts in the humanitarian sphere. However, interpretations of “Women, Peace & Security” must align with OSCE-approved commitments 🌐 Russia considers Kazakhstan as a reliable partner on the OSCE Vienna platform and in regional groupings like EAEU, CSTO, CIS, SCO. We trust that Mr. Rogov's professionalism and experience will ensure the effective functioning of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana
